What SteamGameKey stores about you, and why.
When you sign in with Steam
Steam tells us your SteamID. We never see your Steam password. We then read your public Steam profile: name, avatar, when the account was created, how many games it owns, its Steam level and whether it has VAC, game or community bans. We use this only to keep bots and throwaway accounts from emptying the shelf. After you claim a key we look in your Steam library for that one game, so its developer can see the key was activated.
When you claim a key
We store which key went to which SteamID, when, and the IP address it was claimed from. The IP is used for the daily limit per network. The game's developer can see the claim and whether the key was activated on Steam, so they can spot keys that were resold.
Reviews
Public reviews show your Steam name and avatar. Private feedback is only visible to the game's developer and the site admin. You can edit or delete your reviews at any time on the game's page.
Your profile
Your profile shows your library and public reviews to other players unless you switch it to private on your profile page. Your keys are never shown to anyone else.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in. There are no ads and no tracking cookies. Sound settings are saved in your browser only.
Deleting your data
Ask the site owner to remove your account and claims. Keys you already activated stay in your Steam library.
